Symbols Making Sense is a reading scheme consisting of 10 Introductory
books, and 20 follow up story books.  The vocabulary ranges from simple
phrases in the earlier books to more complex scenarios in the later books.
All pages are illustrated, and each word is supported with a symbol from
the Makaton vocabulary. There is also a comprehensive Teaching Manual
to support teachers and carers of pupils with special reading needs.
